Annette Funicello was an American actor and singer from the United States. Most famously, she is remembered for being one of Mickey Mouse Club's original Mouseketeers. Her singing began in her teens and became popular for the smash songs "Tall Paul" and "Pineapple Princess." Annette was a shy child who grew up in Utica with Italian immigrants. When she decided to pursue a professional career in the business, she started dancing and performing. She gained fame in the 1950s as she played the role of "Mouseketeers". Annette's Disney persona faded as an adult when she was able to play adult roles. Best known for being the actor who introduced the "beach-party" category. Her roles included films such like How to Stuff a Wild Bikini, Pajama Party, and"Beach Party.. She continued to make music albums. Annette was diagnosed as having MS in 1992.
