Antonia's Lofaso invites you to explore her inner world by the food she cooks. Her curiosity grew as she moved from for the Long Island suburbs to explore the diverse culture of Los Angeles. Her belief of the fact that cavatelli and carnitas could coexist in harmony on a single menu conveys a sensibility which is constantly evolving. In all her dishes, she has a vision which is distinctive and expresses an ache for the past. Inspired by her heritage as an Italian-American, Lofaso opened Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 and was instantly well-received. The restaurant's take on old-school Italian is widely praised for being among the most compelling places to enjoy Italian cuisine located in Los Angeles. Lofaso has been described by many as a local restaurant that consistently serves meals that are delicious, authentic and inviting. Lofaso studied under the best chefs to learn their refined techniques. However, she was not afraid making bold choices to honour her instincts. Within a few years her career, she was at the highest level at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In the following years, she worked alongside many celebrities, and transformed a variety of Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso, Sal Aurora, and Mario Guddemi partnered to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City in 2011. Lofaso was able to settle in the Black Market. Lofaso was able to achieve the creativity she craved thanks to her partnership. Black Market is not constrained by one definitive direction and that is the intention. It could begin with potato chips dill and shishito chili peppers. Then it's an ice cream roll Korean wings, and then a series of meatballs. What binds this diverse array of flavors is Antonia. Lofaso evaluates her achievements throughout her career by her natural ability to get to know her audience well and stay loyal to her character. Alongside her unforgettable appearances of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars, her uniqueness was also celebrated outside of the kitchen. Today she continues to impress on the screen in her role as judge on CNBC judge as well as a regular role on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso teamed up together with Penguin In 2012, she teamed up with Penguin to publish The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes to prepare Delicious home-cooked Meals. The book contains her personal story of the obstacles she faced while attending the French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso says that her passion for cooking is the driving factor behind her success. She stays on top of things through keeping a keen to the latest trends and fashions.
